On Friday 22 February, 7-9pm, we will be holding our Annual General Meeting (AGM) at Kingston University.

The AGM is a time to look back on our achievements of the past year and decide the future of the Forum. As part of this, all committee members will stand down from their posts and we will elect a new committee, as well as new officers. Some committee members may like to nominate themselves for re-election, but there will still be spaces on the committee for new members.

There are 12 spaces on the committee and I would like to ask you to consider taking up a role. To find out what this involves, take a look at the role description below. Committee members are the legal owners of the Forum and, by joining us, you will get to decide its direction and have a direct input into how our activities are run. Being a committee member is a voluntary role and only requires around 1 hour's work per week.

If you would like to run as a committee member you should do four things:
  1. Make sure you are a standard member of the Forum. If you're not, sign up here
  2. Take a look at the role description below to make sure you feel you're up to the task
  3. Come to the AGM and nominate yourself for a committee member role
  4. Email Charlie, the Chair of Kingston LGBT Forum, with any questions you might have or if you need any reassurance. You can also call him on 07590 461 869
