LGBT History display at Kingston Library

posted 2 Oct 2012, 08:35 by Charlie Parker
You may think we're planning a bit prematurely, but LGBT History Month (February) is already on our agenda.

We're delighted to welcome Kingston Libraries onto the One Kingston, One LGBT partnership as they have arranged to display our local LGBT history at their Kingston site for the whole of February. The display will be made up, largely, of photographs and documents collected and donated by a Forum member, who has lived in the borough since 1971. The display will archive the history of the LGBT movement in Kingston upon Thames and the surrounding area. We hope you are able to drop into the library to see it next February.

In addition, we've already booked out Kingston Guildhall for our main annual event and the partnership are meeting to discuss which activities we will be laying on for you over LGBT History Month. More information to follow.

Take a look at the LGBT History Month website to find out more about their work.
