The London Pride Parade this year will be taking place on Saturday 29th June from 1pm in Central London. There has been an amazing 150 groups signed up for the parade and the Kingston LGBT Forum is one of them!
The parade starts down Oxford Street, goes along to Oxford Circus then down Regent Street to Haymarket, then past Trafalgar Square and finishes in Whitehall.
This year the theme for the parade is 'Love (and Marriage)' and we're celebrating not only the achievements of the equal marriage campaign in the UK as well as around the world but also the love and support that exists within our great community. This Pride is going to truly be a community London Pride and should reflect the best that the LGBT community has to offer.
The parade itself is going to be split into six different sections based around marriage: The Wedding Bells, The Happy Couple, The Ceremony, The Guests, The Party, and The Honeymoon. The Kingston LGBT Forum group has been placed in the 'Guests' section, and we are all expected to be dressed up appropriately!
The Kingston LGBT Forum
The Kingston LGBT Forum, following our success last year, will be taking part in the parade with a walking group which everyone is welcome to come and join!
We will be meeting outside Kingston train station on Saturday morning from 10:30am with the aim to leave at 11am. If you have never been to our meetings before take a look at our committee page here so you know who your looking for!
