Today is Transgender Day of Visibility and we would like to take some time to celebrate the trans Members of Kingston LGBT Forum.
The number of transgender people attending our events has begun to increase this year. This increase is important to us because, with more trans people becoming involved in the Forum, the better we can understand trans narratives and needs. We strive to involve everyone in our rich and diverse communities and those brave, out, trans people who are part of our Forum really help us to do that. Thank you.
We hope to continue to learn from our transgender Members and make our activities more inclusive. If you’re transgender and receiving this message, we want you to know that you are always welcome at Kingston LGBT Forum, whatever your gender identity or expression. You will be celebrated here. Tell us what you need, how we can help and don’t be afraid to challenge us if we get it wrong. We look forward to seeing you soon.
