The data we collect about you
We may collect, use, store and transfer different kinds of personal data about you as follows:
- Identity data, such as your name;
- Contact data, such as your email address and phone number;
- The London borough you live in;
- How you would like to be involved in the project; and
- Recordings of your voice when you take part in interviews, which will contain any information you choose to share in those interviews.
How we use your personal data
We will only use your personal data for the purpose for which we collected it which include the following:
- To sign you up as a volunteer or participant in the project;
- To manage your relationship with the Forum;
- To enable you to participate in interviews; and
- To make your voice recording available to be shared with the public.
How we share your personal data
We may share your data with external third parties. In particular we store the data we process on servers held in the UK and EEA by Krystal Hosting Limited. We also communicate among trustees and volunteers using Slack, which is software provided by Salesforce.com, inc., where these data are stored. Your voice recordings of your interview(s) will also be made available to The Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames (“Kingston Council”) along with your name. These recordings will also be placed online where they may be accessed by anyone.
International transfers
We may transfer, store and process your personal data outside the UK. In particular we will make your voice recordings of your interview(s) available online where they may be accessed by people in any jurisdiction.
Your legal rights
Under certain circumstances, you have rights under data protection laws in relation to your personal data including the right to receive a copy of the personal data we hold about you and the right to make a complaint at any time to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK regulator for data protection issues (www.ico.org.uk).
